Ave Maria Parish Community Choir
The choir strives to use music to create an opportunity in which the the people are enabled to encounter God. All who are 14 and older are welcome to join this choir and assist in this important mission.
The choir usually practices on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30-8:30 pm and sings on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at 10:00 am Mass.

This choir is great opportunity for children in grade 2nd and up to give praise to God through song, engage in an ensemble, enhance their repertoire, and develop skills in musicianship.
The choir practices every Tuesday and usually sings on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 10:00 am Mass.
The director is Kathy Dittus and she has been leading children's choirs for many years and is also teaching music at Donahue Catholic for grades K through 4. For more information contact Kathy Dittus
AMU Gregorian Chant Scholæ
Community members are welcome to sing with the Men's Schola Gregoriana or the Women's Schola Gregoriana. The Scholæ sing primarily at the Sunday 8:00am Extraordinary Form Mass. Rehearsals for the Men's Schola are during the Fall and Spring semesters on Thursdays from 5:15-6:20 pm and Women's Schola at 6:30-7:35 pm in the Canizaro Library Chapel.
Auditions are held during the first week of each Fall and Spring semester. The exact days and times will be announced several days before the auditions. If those times are not feasible, an appointment can be made by contacting email@example.com.
Prior knowledge of Gregorian chant is helpful, but not required. You will receive "on-the-job training," in reading the special square notation, and you will be given access to recordings of chants as an aid in learning.
