IN MEMORIAM
The extraordinary lives of Bill and Pat have shaped the foundation of Ave Maria Town. Bill and Pat were convinced that “people desperately need to be inspired by faith and religious beauty in art and sacred music.” Bill, Pat, and the LaMothe family have been apostles of sacred liturgy and music in Ave Maria Parish and beyond. Moreover, Bill and Pat’s commitment to Catholic education and their support of our parish school, Donahue Academy, have also been part of their vocation to pave “God’s Road to Heaven” for the young. We are grateful for their lives and honored to celebrate them!

Rev. Robert A. Sirico, a close friend of Bill & Pat, is the co-founder and President emeritus of the Acton Institute, pastor emeritus of Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in Grand Rapids, MI, and founder of the St. John Henry Newman Institute for Catholic Classical Education. He has spoken globally, including in the US, Canada, and over 30 countries, promoting individual dignity, wealth creation, and the link between faith, freedom, and vocation. Rev. Sirico has authored over 200 articles and several influential books, including Defending the Free Market: The Moral Case for a Free Economy (Regnery 2012), and most recently, The Economics of the Parables (Regnery 2022).
