Adult Choir/Coro
Director: Mark Haas, M.F.A.
About This Ministry
Drawing from the Church’s rich legacy of sacred music, as well as contemporary music worthy of the sacred Liturgy, the Adult Choir leads the singing of the Ordinary, Proper texts, and congregational hymns for the Sunday 10am Masses two times per month. This mixed-voice ensemble accepts singers, aged 14 and above, who can commit to regularly singing the principal Sunday 10:00am Mass, holy day Masses, and other liturgies. Attendance at a weekly Tuesday rehearsal from 7-8pm is required, as well as the commitment to learn one's own part between rehearsals. The ability to match pitch and blend in the choir is essential. Some ability to read music is important, although participation in this ensemble will provide growth opportunities for members to increase their reading ability. Audio samples are provided to aid in learning the more challenging works. We are especially in need of skilled soprano and male voices! Please email Mark Haas for further information on how you may become a member.
