Ave Maria Stewardship and Development Officer, Judy Tamisiea, brings 30 years of experience to her volunteer position at Ave Maria Parish. After raising her family, she began her career in Development for a Lutheran organization, Bethphage Mission/Mosaic, who also care for her developmentally disabled daughter.

After five years in that position, she started her eleven plus years as Executive Director of Stewardship, Planning and Development for the Archdiocese of Omaha, NE. Under her leadership, the Archdiocese began their first ever Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, as well as various fundraising events and appeals. She simultaneously served as the Executive Director of the newly inaugurated Children’s Scholarship Fund of Omaha - a partnership with the Children’s Scholarship Fund of New York. During her tenure over $14 million was raised for qualified students to attend private schools.

Next, Judy had the opportunity to serve as a Consultant during the construction and planning for The Cloisters on the Platte - an Ignatian Retreat Center in the Archdiocese of Omaha. This Retreat Center, completed in 2017, hosts Silent Retreats each weekend for eighty individuals.

After moving to Ave Maria, FL in 2014, Judy began as a volunteer for Ave Maria Parish. Judy has served on the Finance Council since its inauguration in 2017 and on the Board of the Ave Maria Parish School: The Donahue Academy since 2019.  With the assistance of the Parish Finance Council, Judy restarted the current Ave Maria Parish Capital Campaign.

Judy’s husband Paul (of sixty years), six children and ten grandchildren have walked beside her during this tremendous journey of Faith as God led the way!
