Adult Choir

Director: Mark Haas, M.F.A.

About This Ministry

Rooted in the Church’s liturgical vision, the Adult Choir serves the sacred liturgy with reverence, beauty, and excellence. As the Second Vatican Council teaches, “The treasure of sacred music is to be preserved and fostered with great care, and choirs must be diligently promoted” (Vatican II; Sacrosanctum Concilium, 114). In that spirit, this choir exists not as a performance ensemble, but as a true liturgical ministry that elevates the prayer of the faithful.

The Adult Choir is a 30-person mixed ensemble of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices, welcoming singers from grade 9 through adulthood. Its repertoire spans English and Latin sacred polyphony and includes the proper antiphons of Gregorian Chant drawn directly from the Graduale Romanum, ensuring that the music of the Mass flows organically from the Church’s own texts.

The choir rehearses on Thursdays from 6:00–7:15 p.m. and sings for the Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass approximately two to three times each month. Beyond regular Sunday liturgies, the choir serves the Church during all of Holy Week and participates in special occasions such as concerts, holy hours, and major feast days. Through disciplined preparation and prayerful singing, the Adult Choir seeks to glorify God and draw hearts more deeply into the mystery of the sacred liturgy.
